Here is what this week looks like:

Morning Work: Handwriting Workbook, DOL

Geography is part of morning work. We have a new map every week. You can find this week's focus on the Geography Page. This week's focus is about Texas and elements of a state map.

Religion: Chapter 16: Jesus Teaches Us to Love Others

Superkids: Vowel Pairs and memory words. See the Spelling tab for this week's word list. Superkids includes reading comprehension, fluency, spelling, penmanship, and grammar.

Mondays we have Spelling Pre-Tests, and we have re-takes on Fridays for those who did not achieve an A the first time. You can find the Spelling Words for the week here. Children will have Spelling Homework every night. Please check the planner, sign off in your child's assignments, and help them take responsibility for putting it back into their BLUE folder to turn in.

You should make verbal spelling practice a daily habit at home to strengthen your child's spelling skills. You can also give them practice spelling tests, which I have found very helpful.

Anything Superkids related can be found either on the Superkids Online Fun app your child uses daily, or you can look at the Parent Portal you set up at the start of the year.

Math: Word Problems/Problem Solving. Quiz Tuesday. Also, we are starting to look at place value! Please look for the At-Home worksheet that will be sent home Tuesday.

Science: gills vs lungs. How animals eat food.
