Week 33 Geography

Visit California! Have you ever been to California? If you look at the little map of the United States, you will see that California is all the way on the WEST coast of our country. It actually borders the Pacific Ocean! This map does not have a map key because it labels places and things right ON the map. What do you see? Notice also that this map has a compass rose. This is a tourist map. A tourist is someone who is visiting a place, maybe they are on vacation. You would use a map like this to help show you around and suggest things for you to do on your visit.
