Homework Policies

Homework is due the day after it is assigned. Any exceptions will be communicated.

Failed assignments (markings of D or U) will be given an opportunity to re-do. I see this as a chance to teach the skill again and more deeply, and help your child understand it better. A half-sheet will be sent home attached to the assignment noting that your child needed a re-do. Please sign this paper and send it back with your child the next day. I will enter an averaged grade into the grade book reflecting the modified score.

Late/incomplete assignments are ineligible for a re-do and will be completed during Recess time. A half-sheet will be sent home attached to the assignment noting that your child turned in a late/incomplete assignment. Please sign this paper and send it back with your child the next day. I will enter a note into my grade book that it was a late assignment.

Assignments that are returned incomplete will be graded as-is and will NOT be given a chance for a re-do, if a failed grade is achieved.

Please help your child foster a responsibility of completing homework nightly, and placing their work back into their BLUE folder, to be turned in.
