Alaska has natural resources. Natural resources are things found in nature. Natural resources are all useful to people. So, a "natural resource" is a useful material that comes from nature. This is a map of Alaska. Alaska is one of our 50 states in the United States of America. It is not attached to the main land. It is attached to Canada, but it still belongs to us. We have said this in class many times this year! Alaska touches the Pacific Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and Canada. Alaska's natural resources include oil, gold, lumber, fish, and crabs. It's capital city is Juneau (sounds like "Ju-no" with log u and long o sounds).
